Dubai is the place to be. Home the largest immigrant population and is also the world’s fastest-growing city. Dubai is essentially a desert city with stunning infrastructure, liberal policies (by regional standards), that became popular for its excellent tourist amenities.
Dubai makes a great short break for shopping, partying, sunbathing, fine dining, sporting events, and even a few sinful pleasures.
When it comes to food Dubai is a fine place to sample different types of Middle Eastern cuisine, whatever your budget. With restaurants across the city offering varying takes on the classic dishes of the region, usually featuring a big range of classic mezze and succulent grilled meats, sometimes with a good selection of shisha (waterpipes) on the side.
One thing to take to consideration is that Dubai is an Islamic state, and that visitors are expected to comply with local cultural norms or risk the consequences. You know the cliché, when in Rome do as the Romans do!
